We believe that children and young people are to be nurtured with love, respect and compassion; that their views are listened to, understood and respected and their voices are heard.

We believe that children and young people have a right to be cared for; protected from harm, abuse and exploitation; to grow up in a safe environment, in which their rights are respected, and their needs are met.

We believe that children and young people should get the help they need, when they need it, for as along as they need it.  We believe they should get the right help, at the right time, from the right people and that their welfare is always paramount.
