Launched in 2008,
FilmG is an annual Gaelic short-film competition that finds, nurtures, and develops new talent for Gaelic media.
In this year’s competition there are 9 categories for entrants under the age of 18 and 7 categories for entrants over the age of 18. Including the FilmG choice awards, decided by a public vote.
Speaking on the awards Cllr Paul Finnegan, Chairperson of Education, Sport and Children’s Services Committee at Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, said:
“They have all done exceptionally well to reach this stage of the competition. This is further evidence of the praiseworthy work which is being done in our schools and in our communities. A lot of effort went into making the films and I wish every school and pupil the very best of luck.”
