Notice To Exempt Land From Access Rights
Notice is hereby given under section 11(9) of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 (“the Act”) that on 23rd May 2024 Comhairle nan Eilean Siar granted an Order to exempt the following land from the access rights which would otherwise be exercisable in respect of that land by virtue of Part 1 of the Act: Castle Grounds, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, grid reference NB419331.
Applicant name: Hebridean Celtic Festival.
Reason for exemption: The holding of the HebCelt Festival, an event and licensed venue for three days of which an entry fee is to be levied and safety measures shall be required to be put in place during this period and the surrounding period.
Period of exemption: 12.00am on Tuesday, 16th July 2024 until 12.00am on Monday, 21st July 2024.
