Complaints
The Comhairle has adopted the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman’s model for complaints handling procedures. The updated procedure for complaint handling introduced from 1 April 2021 replaces the existing procedure.
How Do I Complain?
It is easier for us to resolve complaints if you make them quickly and directly to the service concerned. Please talk to a member of our staff at the service you are complaining about as they can try to resolve any problems there and then.
When complaining, tell us:
- your full name and address
- as much as you can about the complaint
- what has gone wrong
- how you want us to resolve the matter
You can complain, in person at any of our offices, by phone, in writing, or via our online complaints form.
Alternatively, if you just want to comment on, criticise or suggest improvements to our services, please use our online enquiry form.
