By-Election; Na Hearadh Electoral Ward

Malcolm Burr, Returning Officer for Na h-Eileanan an Iar, is reminding voters what they need to know to vote in the Na Hearadh ward By-Election.

Polling Stations in Harris will be open from 7.00am to 10.00pm on Thursday 4 July 2024. Once at their polling station voters will be able to cast votes in both the UK General Election and Na Hearadh By-Election.

Details of the Polling Stations for Na Hearadh and a guide to the STV voting system can be found on the Comhairle’s Information for Voters webpage.

When voting at the Polling Station it is helpful to take your Poll Card with you although you do not require it to vote. Polling Station staff will answer any questions you have regarding the voting process.

If you applied for a Postal Vote, you must return it by 10.00pm on Thursday 4 July 2024. If you have left it too late to post, you can drop it in at any Polling Station in the ward or at the Election Office, Council Offices, Sandwick Road, Stornoway.

The By-Election count will take place on the afternoon of Friday 5 July.
