Consumer Advice

If you are a consumer and want to report an issue with a trader or have an ongoing issue that you need help with, please contact our partner Advice Direct Scotland (ADS) who deals with all initial enquiries. 

Their consumer advisors can:

  • Provide practical and impartial advice on how to resolve your consumer problem.
  • Inform you of the consumer laws which may apply to your situation.
  • Where a complaint relates to criminal legislation enforced by Trading Standards, pass relevant information onto Trading Standards who may decide whether further investigation is required (They will only contact you if additional information is needed)
