The Comhairle agreed to commence the first-stage informal consultation having received requests to review the catchment boundaries between the two schools.

In line with the Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Act 2010 the preliminary first-stage informal consultation includes:

Informal drop-in meetings at the two schools (11-13 February).
Online survey to be open for at least 30 term-time days (4 February to 28 March).

Sgoil Dhalabroig:

  • Drop-in session 11th February 2-4pm
  • Informal meeting 11th February 6pm

Sgoil an Iochdair:

  • Drop-in session 13th February 2-4pm

Following the conclusion of the informal consultation, findings from the drop-in sessions and the online consultation will be compiled into a report. This report will be presented to the Education Sport and Children’s Services Committee in April 2025, where the Comhairle will decide on the next step of the process.
