OHCPP Strategic Anti-Poverty Group invites applications for Islands Cost Crisis Emergency Fund

The Outer Hebrides Community Planning Partnership’s (OHCPP) Strategic Anti-Poverty Group is delighted to be able to follow-up on the Winter Campaign against Poverty by inviting applications to the Scottish Government-funded Islands Cost Crisis Emergency Fund (ICCEF).

A total of £259k of revenue funding is available to support initiatives that are in alignment with the OHCPP’s Anti-Poverty Strategy and will contribute to:

  • reducing the effects of Cost-of-Living pressures
  • increase income from Employment
  • maximise income from social security and benefits in kind

Priority will be given to projects that more acutely reduce the impacts of the Cost-of-Living directly and/ or contribute to supporting a longer-term strategic approach.

Councillor Angus McCormack, Chair of the OHCPP Strategic Anti-Poverty Group stated:

“This welcome funding from Scottish Government is a recognition of the acute impact that the higher costs of living are having on our Island communities. Through this Fund we hope to be able to support a variety of interventions that contribute to alleviating the multi-drivers of poverty.”
