Free Facilitation Training Available

Comhairle nan Eileen Siar, Community Energy Scotland and public participation charity, Involve, are working together to deliver free facilitation training to support people in communities to have conversations and make decisions together.

Separate in person two-day courses will be held on 30 April and 1 May in Cnoc Soilleir, Daliburgh and UHI North, West and Hebrides, Stornoway.

The free training is aimed at any individuals or groups who:

  • Find it challenging to bring people together and make a decision about something that may be difficult, or where people have lots of different views.
  • Would like to be more confident in facilitating practical conversations and decision making processes.
  • Guide and support individuals and groups to decide what matters most to them.
  • Want practical tools and processes, not just theory, and a space where they can practice these tools together with support and advice.
  • Want to be able to make it safe and more comfortable for people to share different opinions, hear and learn from one another's views, and make decisions that work for everyone.
