Comhairle nan Eilean Siar’s Social Work and Social Care services will be prioritising essential service delivery tomorrow (Saturday 21 December) as a result of forecasted high winds.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind covering the Western Isles from 7am on Saturday 21 December to 9pm on Sunday 22 December. The Met Office forecasts strong winds for the Western Isles with gusts of 65-75 mph expected. The Comhairle has issued guidance to the public.
The schedule for Care at Home services will be impacted. Service users and their families will be contacted in advance of any disruption or amendments to their scheduled service.
In cooperation with partners provision is being made to manage any possible disruption within other care services.
