At the Policy and Resources Committee Members discussed the Comhairle's Budget Strategy and were given feedback on meetings held by Cllr Paul Steele, Leader of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and community representatives from across the Western Isles. The meetings held over the last year gave members of the community the opportunity to offer their input on topics including the Comhairle's budget, Single Island Authority model and matters of importance within their local area. At the Comhairle's Sustainable Development Committee Members discussed the Comhairle's Heritage Service, Economic Community Regeneration and the Comhairle's response to Scottish Government Consultations on Fisheries Management Measures. Sustainable Development recording.
At Comataidh na Gàidhlig Members discussed the 2022 Census results and their implications for Gàidhlig, and the new Scottish Languages Bill. Comataidh na Gàidhlig recording.
At the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Members were given a presentation on the inter-island flight service by HiTrans. In the presentation Members were told of the ongoing work to ensure the Stornoway to Benbecula air service works for the community. Transportation and Infrastructure Recording.
At the Education Sport and Children's Services Committee discussed school inspections, home to school transport and received the Chief Social Work Officer’s Annual Report. Education Sport and Children's Services recording.
