Deaths

Information on deaths, funerals and burial fees

Death Registrations are carried out via a ‘remote’ appointment. If you are the next of kin (or other person dealing with the registration), we will take you through the process by phone and/or email. This means there is no need to travel to the office. We will be able to answer any questions you may have and offer support during our conversation.

Face to face appointments are available on request.

We will contact you once we receive the medical certificate from the doctor to explain the process and arrange to complete the registration with you.

If you want to get in touch or have any questions about registering a death, please email registrars@cne-siar.gov.uk or you can contact your nearest office by phone.
