Orkney 2025 travel cost should not to be included in this application.
The Athlete Travel Award Scheme is designed to support performance or development athletes from Comhairle nan Eilean Siar (CnES) with their travel and accommodation costs for an agreed training and competition schedule.
On review of the 2021/22 application process, it was agreed that having two rounds of applications for each 12 month period would best serve the athletes of the Outer Hebrides. Athletes will be able to apply for both the 1st and 2nd six month period applications, or just one, depending on their competition calendar.
This scheme is funded by sportscotland and CnES and is administered locally by CnES. The scheme can support individuals that are taking part in recognised sports. We hope it will make a real difference to the quality of sports performance for people living in the Western Isles.

- Providing financial support for Western Isles athletes to access high performance expertise in sport;
