Information on Household Waste Recycling Centres in the Western Isles
Disposal Options for Wastes that are Not Permitted
Construction and demolition wastes are classed as Industrial Waste and the waste producer has a duty to dispose of this type of waste properly and pay any appropriate waste disposal costs even if the producer is a householder carrying out DIY work.
The list below can all be disposed at Bennadrove Landfill Site:
- Asbestos
- Chemicals
- Construction wastes (including wastes from DIY work)
- Crofting or farm wastes
- Demolition wastes (including wastes from DIY work such as; fitted kitchens, bathroom suites, interior and exterior windows and doors)
- Oil tanks
- Plasterboard/Gypsom/Cement etc
- Silage wrap
- Soil
- Stone or rubble (until suitable container is installed at Creed Park)
The list below should be returned to provider:
