Public Bodies Climate Change Duties

The Comhairle submits an annual report on progress on Climate Change, as required under the Climate Change (Duties of Public Bodies: Reporting Requirements) (Scotland) Order.

The report aims to provide an overview of the Comhairle’s progress on Climate Change covering:

  • Governance
  •  Emissions and Projects
  • Climate Change Adaptation
  • Procurement
  • Wider Influence across the local authority area.

The report provides detailed information on the Comhairle’s carbon footprint and on the projects, policies, and actions which the Comhairle has in place to contribute to Scotland’s Net Zero Target and the Scottish Climate Change Adaptation Programme.
