See the What Can I Pay? section of the main page. Additional services will be added as we continue to develop this facility.
Q2 : Why can't I pay other things?
We will be adding more items in the future. Please contact us via e-mail at crm.enquiries@cne-siar.gov.uk or by telephone at 01851 600502 if you have any views regarding what other payments might be usefully carried out on-line.
Q3 : Is it safe?
Your transaction takes place within a secure payment system. Capita use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, a standard supported by most major Internet browsers. All of your personal and card details are protected using 128 bit encryption, when transmitted over the Internet. See the Is It Safe? section of the main page.
Q4 : How else can I pay?
You can still choose to pay your bills in any of the usual ways.
Q5 : Which cards do you take?
We accept with most major credit or debit cards (not Diners Card or American Express).
Q6 : Can I get a receipt?
If you supply a valid e-mail address. Capita will automatically send you a receipt when your transaction has completed successfully. You can also print off a copy of the confirmation page at the end of your transaction if you want a paper record.
Q7 : What if my card is refused?
There are many reasons why this may happen. If it does, you should contact your own bank immediately.
Q8: Why on-line payments?
The Council is committed to modernising its services and giving you a range of payment options - on-line payments is part of this.
Q9: What if I experience problems?
Help is available throughout the system, but if you run into difficulties, please let us know via e-mail at crm.enquiries@cne-siar.gov.uk or by telephone at 01851 600 502. We will get back to you within 3 working days
Q10: How quickly will you process my payment?
At the end of each day, on-line payments made before 4pm will be processed. In effect, this means that your account will be updated within one working day of you making payment on-line.
Q11: Can I check my balance on-line?
Not at the moment. We hope to develop on-line services in the future that will allow you to do this. As soon as this service is available, we will let you know through our Website.
Q12: Do you keep my card details?
Not at all. Capita provides a secure site for taking your payment details. This means that at no time are your debit card details known to or stored by the Council.
