Pointers Youth Centre -  Drop in Cafe

Pointers is a purpose designed youth centre run by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar based in the centre of Stornoway on North Beach Street.

Pointers provides a warm, friendly, safe environment where young people aged 12 – 25 can meet socially or take part in organised groups.

Young people using the centre are encouraged to take an active role in how it is run, and what is on offer.

Group work offers support, information and advice to young people to help them to make informed decisions.

There is also a youth café drop in, which is open to all secondary aged young people on a Friday afternoon from 1.30pm – 4.30pm.

The drop in cafe is staffed by friendly youth workers who are available to offer information and advice to young people if needed and provide a listening ear. 

Young people come can come in and out as they please.  They can choose to use the facilities, free of charge, including a pool table, games consoles, music, tv and board games or they can just relax and catch up with friends.

There is a tuck shop with a range of snacks and a coffee machine.

There is also the Outback room which is designed as a chill out room for over 15’s to give them a more independent space.
