Fuel Update

The multi-agency Emergency Planning Coordinating Group for the Western Isles, WIEPCG, met today at 11am to discuss the recent fuel shortage in the islands.

The group has been in constant communication with Certas Energy and Highland Fuels over the past week and is pleased to confirm that a boat is due to dock with fuel in Stornoway at 4:30am on the morning of Saturday 17^th March.

The group would like to thank Certas Energy, Highland Fuels, Caledonian MacBrayne and all other local partners who have assisted in bringing the situation to a satisfactory conclusion.
