Sustainable Development Committee

Members of the Comhairle's Sustainable Development Committee will hear details this week of £6.7m of funding which has been awarded to community groups over the past few years through the LEADER programme, the Regeneration Capital Grant Fund and the Community Capital Grant Fund.

Reports to the Committee to be held on Wednesday 14 June specify the amounts awarded and the number of jobs created and supported through the funding schemes.

The Committee will also hear details of a Heritage and Archaeology Strategy and receive a position paper on Renewable Energy.

In addition there will be reports on the Business Gateway service, the Outer Hebrides Skills Investment Plan and a Decommissioning Strategy for the Islands.
