Stornoway
This Registration Office serves a very large area of the Western Isles covering Ness, the West Side, Stornoway, Broadbay and Southern parts of Lewis, providing a full range of registration services including:
- Registering Births Deaths and Marriages (by appointment)
- Issuing extracts (copy certificates) from the Registers
- Conducting Civil Marriages and Partnerships
- Conducting Searches for genealogy purposes and family trees
- Registering Cemetery lairs
Location & Town Hall Wedding Venue
The Registration Service is based on the ground floor of the Town Hall building in the centre of Stornoway, within Customer Services. The entrance is on Point Street.
The Town Hall Balcony is available for weddings with up to 30 guests. There is a lift for disabled access. The main Town Hall can be booked for larger weddings and functions, accommodating a maximum of approximately 270 seated guests.
