Probationer Support

Probationer Induction Year

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar works with the General Teaching Council of Scotland in providing Probationer Teachers with high quality support during their induction year.

All teachers are allocated to mentors in their schools and they are the first point of contact for all day to day activity. The programme of training during the year is now well established and feedback is very positive. Probationers are well supported in their schools by mentors and Head Teachers. The Probationer Manager is always available to support when required.
