Planning Performance Framework
As part of the Scottish Government’s commitment to continuous improvement, the Planning Performance Framework has been developed to enable Scotland’s planning authorities to report on their achievements within a national framework which uses a set of agreed performance markers to judge each authority’s performance.
Planning authorities produce an Annual Report which demonstrates significant achievements met in the current year and outlines key service improvements to be made in the following year. The Planning Performance Framework provides a balanced measure of the effectiveness of the planning service across Scotland, helping to identify the benefits good planning can bring to an area and supporting planning authorities to continuously improve their performance.
