Trading Standards at Comhairle na Eilean Siar are warning residents across the islands that there have been reports of door to door traders currently operating on Lewis.
Jay Moran of CNES Trading Standards said: “Often the goods or the work door to door sellers provide can be of poor quality and the price charged can be very high. Callers may not always be what they seem and we would ask that residents look out for elderly and vulnerable neighbours and relatives.”
If you are concerned about Doorstep sellers you can call Trading Standards on 01851 822694 or Police Scotland on 101.
Free “No doorstep sellers” signage is available from Comhairle Offices.
