Trading Standards Officers at Comhairle nan Eilean Siar are reminding residents in the islands that they can display “No doorstep sales” signage.
This follows a report of individuals who are claiming to be carrying out questionnaires but who are in fact salespeople .
A spokesperson, said: “Genuine representatives from trustworthy survey companies will always carry identification which they will be happy to show you so that it can be verified by contacting the business.”
