Scottish Land Commission Invites Lewis Residents To Public Meeting.

The Scottish Land Commission are continuing their successful series of public meetings this year, the second one of 2018 will take place in Stornoway.

The Scottish Land Commission, which was officially established on the 1 April 2017, is holding an informal public meeting to give people across Lewis the opportunity to find out more about the work of the organisation and to meet with Commissioners .

The event is being held at the Bridge Centre in Stornoway on Tuesday 22 March at 7pm.

Chair of the Scottish Land Commission, Andrew Thin, said: "The Commissioners and I are really keen to speak to people from across Lewis and to let them know more about the work the Commission has started to undertake and find out what they think the priorities for land reform should be. The public meeting is also an opportunity to find  out more about land reform and the benefits it can bring to you and your community.

This is one of a series of public meetings  taking place across Scotland throughout the year from Durness to Stirling, Ayr  to Aboyne and we hope to meet as many people as possible.  I would encourage everyone to attend and make the most of the opportunity to meet with us to discuss the land reform agenda.  It is important that all voices are heard and we work together to make the most of our land."

The events are free and tea and coffee will be provided.
