Lewis and Harris

Basic Sports

These activities give children moving into Primary 1 and 2 the chance to learn some basic sports skills in a range of fun sporting activities.

Multi Sports

These activities are a fantastic and energetic introduction to specific sports for children going into Primary 3 and 4!  Our coaches will allow youngsters to develop their ball and co-ordination skills in a range of practices and mini tournaments

Sports Activities

These activities are aimed at children going into Primary 5 to 7. Our coaches have planned various sport specific activities along with children try a range of target practice games and other fun activities.

Football

These sessions are designed to help children develop some fantastic football skills in some small sided games.

Athletics

These fun athletics sessions give Primary 5 to 7 children the opportunity to try out a variety of athletics events in a safe environment.

Cycling Festival

If your child is looking for some outdoor fun, why not bring them along to try out the cycle tracks on the Lews Castle grounds.  Sport & Health staff will introduce and develop your childs cycling skills. Please note children must be able to cycle a minimum of 2 miles

Woodland Explorers

These activities are a great way to get your children going into Primary 1 to 3 active and outside this Summer!  They will be introduced to some very basic bush craft skills and our instructors will help them learn more about the great outdoors.       

Climbing

Get your kids climbing in the fantastic outdoors this summer at Arnish with our fantastic outdoor team!  These sessions will help develop your child’s co-ordination and climbing skills while breathing in the fantastic fresh outdoor air.

Survival Skills

These sessions allow children going into Primary 4 to 7 to take their knowledge one step further with more advanced bush craft skills and knowledge about our environment.  You never know, they might grow up to be the next Bear Grylls

Mountain Biking

If your child is a keen cyclist, then this activity is perfect.  Our qualified outdoor instructors will take them around the Lews Castle Grounds to develop their mountain biking skills and test out some of the more advanced bike trails.

RYA Level 1 and 2 Youth Start Sailing Course

The RYA Start Sailing Courses are the perfect opportunity to get your children interested in sailing.  This course will introduce youngsters to launching and recovery, steering, parts of the boat and general basic sailing.

Uist and Barra

Nerf and Crazy Golf

The Uist and Barra Motiv8 roadshow will be coming to a village near you this Summer to deliver Nerf games and Crazy Golf activities.  Blast into action with inflatable obstacles and rapid fire nerf equipment and/or test out your golf skills on our custom built portable crazy golf course!! These activities will be running in Lochmaddy, Liniclate, Askernish & Castlebay to allow access for as many 9-12 year olds as possible. So sign up now or risk missing out!”

Picnic and Play

NEW for Summer 2021.  Come along and experience The Motiv8 Picnic & Play drop-in sessions.  Take the whole family and enjoy a picnic and some fresh Island air whilst the children run around and have fun in one of the play zones, whether it be taking on the array of giant games, hitting targets or bursting bubbles from the bubble machine.  This event is weather dependant and families should bring their own picnic.

Cycling Activities

This activity aims to introduce core skills and knowledge to help develop your children’s cycling whilst keeping them entertained, exercising, socialising and building confidence. No bike or helmet? Don’t worry we have bikes and helmets that you can use.
