Comhairle Corporate Strategy and Recovery Business Plans
We Asked
We sought your views on the draft business plans that the Comhairle approved for consultation on 21 August 2020, including how they might affect service users.
You Said
887 responses were received (855 from individuals and 32 from Groups). This was an initial consultation, seeking views on a number of proposals being considered as part of the business planning process, prior to any of these being taken forward for implementation. Any proposals taken forward will be subject to integrated impact assessments to consider potential equality impacts and, where necessary, statutory consultation will then take place.
We Did
Full details of the submissions were circulated to Elected Members of the Comhairle to inform the decision on which of the proposals could be taken forward as part of the routine business planning process and which required further consideration. These deliberations resulted in a number of the proposals being withdrawn from the current 2 year planning process. These included rationalisation plans for Tong, Laxdale and Back Schools, community skips, some grants to community organisations and funding for voluntary sector nurseries. Where proposals are being implemented, officers may take cognisance of the consultation feedback, where this is practical and in line with service requirements.
