The Isle of Harris is world-famous for its stunning golden beaches surrounded by turquoise seas to the west and south, with a wild rocky coastline to the east and dramatic mountain scenery in the north. Recently Luskentyre beach was voted one of the best on the planet and Harris regularly features in ‘top UK beach’ lists.

Many couples are choosing to make their wedding day a very special and unique occasion by getting married on one of our beautiful beaches. Whether your party consists of you and your partner, or you have a large number of guests, we can offer an unforgettable setting for your marriage. And our wedding parties often have the beach to themselves.

Getting married in Scotland means you have the choice of almost any location – in Harris this includes welcoming hotels, luxury holiday cottages and even a castle. Or you can choose our marriage room or other location that has special meaning to you both. Whatever the venue, our friendly registrars will provide personal, individual advice and assistance to help you arrange your ideal ceremony.

Our small marriage room is part of the newly-converted, listed Old Primary School building. We’ll be happy to provide you with more details.
